Prestec were appointed by Barhale Trant Utilities to undertake structural repair works to Southdown reservoir on the Isle of Sheppey following a successful project working together on the Whitchurch Water Tower.
Our works included carrying out traditional brick repairs and repointing to fractures on the arched soffits, mechanical preparation to the structure followed by resin injection repairs to fractures in the roof/brick wall arches using Fosroc Nitofill TH.
Once the structural repairs were completed all fractures were sealed using Flexcrete 851 Cementitious Coating incorporated with Cemprotec 2000-S Flexible Waterproof Sealing Tape.
