Prestec are in the process of refurbishing the Venetian Bridge over the Pier Gap at Clacton-On-Sea for Tendring Borough Council.
Currently, Prestec are removing all of the defective concrete from the soffits, spandrel and transverse beams, as well as prepping the whole structure using high pressure water jetting.
Following the removal of the defective concrete and finishes, Prestec shall be installing the DuoGuard Hybrid Anode steel reinforcement anti-corrosion system and carrying out concrete repairs. Further works on this project include removing the existing pathway on the bridge and waterproofing the deck, as well as applying all the decorative finishes. Prestec are expected to complete the project in February 2018 after 14 weeks of work.
Due to our ongoing relationship with Tendering District Council, Prestec were offered the chance to sponsor Clacton’s Christmas tree for 2018 which was gladly accepted.
