Upcoming refurbished office space at the heart of a rapidly changing city

Prestec are carrying out wet blast cleaning to 5000m2 of structural steelwork together with application of a high build zinc phosphate primer, for Wates Construction Ltd. The site is situated in the centre of a pedestrian area with restrictions on noise and control measures of the emissions, our teams are working throughout the night to ensure minimum disruption to fit our contractors and the general public. Work started early February with completion due early August 2019.

Platform 21 is the bold reimagining of Birmingham’s most well-known high street office spaces. Throughout its life Platform 21 has been known as the Woolworths or The Charters, instantly recognised by its external ‘wall climber’ glass lift that faces onto New Street. Its new reincarnation will see it transformed into 112,000sq.ft of category A refurbished office space at the heart of a rapidly changing city.
