Heathrow Airport – Terminal 5

Prestec were appointed by Heathrow Airport Ltd to undertake repairs to the concrete raft that supports the track transit system at Heathrow Airport Ltd in terminal 5. Preparation of the substrate was undertaken using electric shotblasting machines and planers. Defective sections of concrete were mechanically removed following an executive survey of the roadway in the station platform area, repairs were completed using Flexcrete Fastfill. Following the concrete repairs Prestec applied Remmers MT 100 and QP Colour epoxy system as a protective coating for the repairs and to prevent any further degradation of the concrete.
