Prestec UK Ltd are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Southern Area Office based in Brentwood, Essex.

Key responsibilities

• Production and review of tenders and quotations for a variety of works including waterproofing and concrete repair
• Analysis of client specifications and contract conditions
• Pre tender site measurement client liaison
• Assessing labour requirements and associated costs
• Prepare and deliver detailed, well presented tender submissions
• Negotiate with clients to secure contracts
• Liaising and reporting to Senior Management in relation to ongoing submissions
• Researching and sourcing a high calibre of subcontractors and suppliers
• Evaluating quotations to bring in line with project specification requirements
• Assessing financial operations and project risks
• Attending client meetings

Position requirements

• Industry relevant qualification
• Previous experience of estimating or quantity surveying within the construction industry
• Knowledge of materials/construction methods
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent IT skills
• Good interpersonal skills are essential together with the ability to work unsupervised within a small team
