Our Director, David Hewlett, completed the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey100 Challenge for the Alzheimer’s Society along with his brother, Paul.

The challenge celebrates the cycling legacy created by the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Starting in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, it follows a 100-mile route through the capital and into the Surrey countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the 2012 London Olympics, it was found to be challenging, yet very rewarding.

David & Paul both chose to support the Alzheimer’s Society after losing close family members to the disease. The charity uses donations for research, campaigning, offering support to those who are suffering and their families, and guiding, advising and informing those who require it.

David & Paul raised close to £8,500 for the charity, beating their £7,000 target. They also aimed to complete the challenge in under 7 hours with David completing in 6 hours, 12 minutes and 51 seconds, and Paul in 5 hours and 32 seconds.
